Introduction:
This case study explores the design of a mobile application for Indigo Airlines that streamlines the boarding process for flyers, reducing confusion and missed flights.

Problem:
Flyers often miss flights due to difficulty navigating airports and locating check-in counters and boarding gates.

Solution:
We propose a user-centric mobile application that acts as a personal guide for flyers throughout their airport journey.

Methodology:

User Research: We conducted surveys and interviews with frequent flyers to understand their pain points and desired functionalities.

Ideation & Sketching: Low-fidelity wireframes were created to map out the user experience flow.

Low-Fidelity wireframes & prototyping: Developed low-fidelity wireframes to map out the user flow and interface elements of the mobile app, focusing on functionality over aesthetics.

User Experience Flow:
Pre-flight:
- Users book flights and check-in online using the app.
- The app displays real-time flight information and updates.
At the Airport:
- Upon arrival, the app uses geolocation to identify the user's location within the airport.
It displays a personalized navigation map highlighting the shortest route to the baggage drop counter for their specific flight.
- Real-time queue wait times are displayed for each counter, allowing users to plan their time efficiently.
Security Check:
- The app provides estimated security wait times, helping users manage their time effectively.
Boarding:
- The app displays the boarding gate location and estimated boarding time.
- Push notifications alert users when boarding begins and their specific zone is called.
High-Fidelity Mockups:
Home Screen:
-Clean and intuitive interface displaying upcoming flight information prominently.
-Easy access buttons for check-in, navigation, and flight status updates.

Airport Navigation Screen:
-Interactive map highlighting the user's location and the quickest route to their specific baggage drop counter.
-Real-time queue wait times displayed for each counter.

Boarding Pass Screen:
-Digital boarding pass with clear flight details, gate number, and boarding zone.
-Live countdown timer to boarding time.

Merchandise section
- Allows users to pre-order onboard refreshments or browse in-flight duty-free products.
Impact:
This application will significantly improve the boarding experience for Indigo flyers by:
-Reducing confusion and stress at the airport.
